Mystocks, It looks like the Dow Jones Industrial Average is caught in a new trading channel, which is not surprising. There is still a lot of uncertainty in the marketplace and we are expecting the index to trade sideways for the near-term.

On Friday, the Dow managed to test resistance just below its 20-day moving average at 11,215. At this point, we don`t think the index has enough momentum to break resistance.

If volume picks up, we could see the price push higher and test the next resistance area at 11,300. On the downside, we think the index should hold support at its 50-day moving average at 11,009.

It was a big day for our two Canadian stock picks. TSX-V:

VGD made a big move on Friday and closed at $0.61. Volume was extremely strong so we could see another push higher today. Watch for the price to test resistance at its recent high of $0.65.

TSX-V: FLX also made some big gains. We pointed out that the stock was holding good support at $0.16 and that would have been a good point to average down. On Friday, it rallied to a high of $0.195, managed to hold on to most of its gains, then closed at $0.18.

As volume picks up, we should see another push higher this morning.

Mystocks, Positive sentiment in the marketplace caused a short squeeze which sent the Dow Jones Industrial Average driving higher yesterday. The index had its biggest positive day since Nov. 4, closing higher by 180 points.

But we are not ready to say the pullback is over just yet.

Volume was incredibly low during the session so if the fear sentiment picks up, there is a risk that the market will give back all these gains.

We could see another push higher today as more investors are forced to cover their short positions. We are going to be watching the 20-day moving average at 11,211, which is acting as support in the near-term.

We told investors to expect a big move in IASCA and we were not disappointed. After opening at $0.12 the price rallied to a high of $0.15. We saw modest profit-taking in the afternoon but with volume at its highest level ever, we should see momentum pick up again in the near-term.

IASCA could hit some resistance at $0.14 in the near-term.

Another stock to watch this morning is STTN. We started talking about it yesterday when the price was at $0.058 and like the fact that it was able to close in positive territory at $0.06 with major volume.

If activity continues to pick up, we would expect the price to test resistance at $0.09.

Mystocks, We were expecting to see a big move in IASCA today and we were not disappointed. The stock started the morning off relatively slow but after the open, volume picked up and began attracting more investors.

The stock rallied to a high of 20% from its open and is building good momentum so we should see another drive higher in the near-term.

We like the fact that the price was able to break above its near-term resistance at $0.14.
